Our Menu This Week

We share our menu because parents aren't always aware of the diverse foods their child eats when away from home. Studies show that when children are offered foods on several occasions, they overcome an aversion to foods they are unfamiliar with. We like to serve a variety of fruits and vegetables, mixed with familiar foods, so that children get a balanced diet of food that is good for them.

A typical week may look like this:

Monday

 

Breakfast: Honey Nut Cheerios, Apples, 1% or Skim Milk

AM Snack: Lowfat Cheese and Wheat Thins

Lunch: Pork Chops, Macaroni Noodles, Cauliflower, Pineapple, 1% or Skim Milk

PM Snack: Bananas, 1% or Skim Milk

 

Tuesday

 

Breakfast: Oatmeal, Blueberries, 1% or Skim Milk

AM Snack: Graham Crackers, 1% or Skim Milk

Lunch: Beef Meatballs, Noodles, Cucumbers, Baked Beans, 1% or Skim Milk

PM Snack: Yogurt, Pretzels

 

Wednesday

 

Breakfast: Waffles, Cranberries, 1% or Skim Milk

AM Snack: Raisin Bread, Skim Milk

Lunch: Chicken Breasts, Stuffing, Corn, Cantaloupe, 1% or Skim Milk

PM Snack: American Cheese, Apples

 

Thursday

 

Breakfast: Wheat Bread, Hash browns, 1% or Skim Milk

AM Snack: Cottage Cheese, Peaches

Lunch: Fish Sticks,  Ritz Crackers,  Peas, Oranges, 1% or Skim Milk

PM Snack: Peanut butter, Rice Cakes

 

Friday

 

Breakfast: Eggs, Croissants, Strawberries, 1% or Skim Milk

AM Snack: Animal Crackers, Skim Milk

Lunch: Ground turkey taco's, Carrots, Pears, 1% or Skim Milk

PM Snack: Yogurt, carrots
